Hi, I'm Philip Roice and I'm seeking great production payroll positions in Los Angeles. Welcome to my profile!

Philip Roice's Bio:

Philip Roice moved to Los Angeles in 2007 after several years of living in San Francisco. He's originally from Portland, Oregon, but the mossy surroundings of the Pacific Northwest couldn’t contain him. After a bit of creative writing, his first “real” job in Los Angeles was in the corporate side of things at 20th Century Fox. It was his introduction to the film industry as a living, breathing industry as opposed to something that one just watched on the big screen. After a few years in corporate, friends suggested that he move to the production side of the industry and, after some research and discussion, he decided that the accounting department is where he should be. He's always been highly focused on details, and he loves the black-and-white logic of accounting. Plus he get to get around the wonderfully creative personalities that make up film and television. It’s really the best of both worlds! He's worked as both a clerk and as a 2nd Assistant Accountant on shows as diverse as the reality series BIG PEOPLE, LITTLE WORLD, and the big ticket scripted series THE LAST SHIP, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, RIZZOLI & ISLES, and GRACE & FRANKIE. While building those skills, Philip realized that he had an interest in learning production payroll and switched his career accordingly. As a payroll assistant, Philip has worked with production companies such as Netflix and Disney and has worked as a payroll accountant with both Disney/Marvel and Amazon. Writing is where his creative side continues to flourish. Everyone in Los Angeles has a script that they’re working on and so does he! It’s really more of a hobby than anything else, but it’s a lot of fun and he enjoys every minute of it.
